Another promotion to Dallas Region Service Center Manager with Centel Communications made Greg responsible for the overall operations and development of the Dallas Region Service Center. These responsibilities included computerization of the Service Center, which served over half of the state of Texas. While in this position, Greg received recognition of his management expertise when he received Centel's Outstanding Performance in Operations and Customer Service Award.
Next, Greg became the National Service Center Manager where he was responsible for consolidating seven regional service centers into one nation call center. This large service center consisted of over 25 customer service agents and handled over 3,000 calls a day.
After several other management positions, Greg shifted his focus from the field of operations and became a manufacturer representative marketing products to dealer networks. He was responsible for a major project involving special data and telecom security for a major corporation in Mexico. As a Senior Consultant, he was responsible for the development of new business for Houston firms and went on to become President and part-owner of Quadcom, Inc., a telecommunications company in Houston, Texas.
Greg returned to his hometown of Killeen in 1996 to develop Folkerson Communications, LTD.
